TRUNK SALE-  at the Masonic Lodge — ANYONE can sell !

The TRUNK SALE event is a fundraiser for the Old Village Association. Last year the TS moved to its new permanent home at the Masons Lodge location at Amelia and Farmer streets.  This sale is open to anyone who wants to benefit from the great crowds we have and sell stuff from their car “trunk” (although most sellers move their car out of the space to have more room).  The first car park space is $20, each extra is just $10.  The Masons are great hosts and will have coffee and donuts for sale and their bathrooms open.   Many thanks to Matt and Sandy and the crew over there for making this a super event !   To get a space there, just show up and see them.  They have a limited number of tables for rent too if anyone needs some for their space.  ($5 each).   Please invite anyone you know to participate in the Trunk Sale !   Vendors set up starts at 7am.  If you have any questions, contact Mark Oppat at 734-502-3794.

The OVA provides signage and publicity for this event but you can help by Tweeting or posting on your Facebook page about this event.  Be sure to share our Facebook page and website www.oldvillageplymouth.com  too.   Advertise your own sale too and mention the OVY&TS.   Mention special items at your sale to help draw folks.  Tell all your friends to come and enjoy this unique neighborhood event  and perhaps spend the day and have lunch at one of our pubs or restaurants.

The annual Old Village Yard and Trunk sale is always a week before the City of Plymouth  “Spring Clean Up”  Day which allows you to put out larger items that normally are not picked up without special tags.  So, anything you don’t sell at the OVY&TS can go out at the curb if you want to get it “gone”.   You can begin putting stuff at the curb Friday May 6.  You will notice a big crowd of “pickers” driving around the city that day…  “junking” as it’s called, and it’s a major event in all of Plymouth !   It’s fun to watch the pickers even if you don’t have anything out at your own curb!    Watch for cards in your mail from the City or visit their site at www.ci.plymouth.mi.us then hit Your Government> Municipal Services> Solid Waste Collection> Spring Clean Up.

Connect to the OVA !  send us your email and we’ll add you to our occasional notes about issues or events in the OVA.  Volunteers are needed for all our events as well.  Please consider donating  a little time and your precious skills to our little organization and help make Old Village even more special !   Send to moppat@comcast.net  or call Mark at 734-207-2346  11am-8pm most days.  If you get the machine, SAY your phone number, it doesnt automatically record them.
